【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=추경호 대구시장 경선후보가 택시 서비스 혁신과 기사 안전 강화 방안을 담은 ‘안심 택시 도시’ 공약을 19일 발표했다.
추 후보는 이날 “최근 교통사고로 다친 기사님과 승객분의 빠른 회복을 기원한다”며 “특히 주취 폭행 등은 시민 안전을 위협하는 심각한 사회문제”라고 지적했다. 이어 “택시는 시민들이 가장 많이 이용하는 생활 교통수단”이라며 “시민들은 더 편하게, 기사님들은 더 안전하게 일할 수 있는 환경을 만들겠다”고 약속했다.
이번 공약은 택시 서비스의 디지털 전환이 핵심이다. 호출, 배차, 요금, 민원 처리를 한 번에 할 수 있는 통합 플랫폼을 구축해, 앱 호출과 간편 결제는 물론 분실물 신고와 불친절·난폭운전 민원까지 간편하게 처리할 수 있도록 한다는 계획이다.
안전 강화 대책도 함께 추진된다. 단계적으로 블랙박스와 인공지능 운전 보조 시스템, 긴급호출장치, 보호격벽 등 안전장비를 보급하고, 심야와 취약지역 운행 차량에는 우선적으로 지원할 방침이다.
또 주취 승객의 폭언·폭행에 대응하기 위해 112 신고 시스템과 교통관제, 택시 업계를 연계한 긴급 대응 체계도 마련한다. 사고 발생 시 위치와 상황을 실시간으로 공유해 대응 속도를 높인다는 구상이다.
이밖에도 야간 안전쉼터 설치, 순찰 강화, 취약지역 전담 대응, 교통사고 예방 교육, 심리상담 지원 등 다양한 지원책이 포함됐다.
추 후보는 “택시 서비스 개선은 업계 지원을 넘어 시민 안전과 도시 품격을 높이는 정책”이라며 “택시를 타는 순간 대구의 변화가 체감될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 강조했다.
