【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군보건소가 심뇌혈관질환 예방과 조기 발견을 위해 오는 4월 28일부터 6월 30일까지 고혈압·당뇨·고지혈증 합병증 검사인 경동맥 초음파 검진사업을 실시한다.
이번 사업은 만성질환 증가로 인한 사회·경제적 부담을 줄이고 지역 주민의 건강을 증진하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 올해는 기존 50세 이상에서 40세 이상으로 대상 연령을 확대하고, 검진 인원도 100명에서 130명으로 늘렸다.
만성질환의 저연령화 추세에 선제적으로 대응하겠다는 취지다.
검진 대상은 증평군민과 증평지역 소재 직장 근무자로 한정되며, 지난해 동일 검사를 받은 경우는 제외된다.
검진은 지역 의료기관인 한사랑연합의원에서 진행된다.
참여를 희망하는 주민은 4월 28일 오전 10시부터 증평군보건소를 방문해 검진권을 신청·발급받아야 한다.
발급된 검진권으로 지정 의료기관에서 경동맥 초음파 검사를 받을 수 있다.
조미정 보건소장은 “심뇌혈관질환은 조기 발견이 무엇보다 중요한 만큼, 검사 기회를 확대해 예방 중심 건강관리 체계를 강화했다”며 “지역 주민의 건강 수준을 한 단계 끌어올리는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
