(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도가 지역의 유구한 역사를 간직한 사찰들을 세계적인 명상관광 명소로 키우기 위해 본격적인 시동을 걸었다.
전남도는 ‘전남 천년사찰 세계명상관광 사업’ 대상지로 담양 용흥사, 고흥 능가사, 장흥 천관사, 장성 백양사, 완도 신흥사 등 5개 사찰을 선정했다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 사찰의 고유 문화자산과 명상 콘텐츠를 결합해 국내외 관광객들에게 진정한 휴식과 치유의 경험을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
선정된 각 사찰은 지역의 대표 축제 및 자연경관과 연계한 다채로운 프로그램을 선보인다.
담양 용흥사는 '선명상 템플스테이'를 통해 차(茶)명상과 달뫼 수바래길 걷기 등을 진행하며, 5월부터 10월까지 담양대나무축제와 연계해 운영된다.
고흥 능가사는 8월부터 12월까지 고흥유자축제 기간에 맞춰 '싱잉볼 사운드 테라피'와 해변 행선을 포함한 '명상 여행 해봤 능가' 프로그램을 실시한다.
장흥 천관사는 '천관사 마인드 리트리트'를 주제로 동백숲 걷기 명상과 산사음악회를 연계해 8월부터 12월까지 관광객을 맞이한다.
장성 백양사는 10월과 11월 사이 백양사 애기단풍페스티벌 기간 중 호흡·다도명상은 물론, 정갈한 사찰 음식 명상 프로그램을 운영한다.
완도 신흥사는 6월부터 12월까지 사찰 내 정적 명상(좌선)과 신지 명사십리해변에서의 동적 치유(포행)를 결합한 프로그램을 해양치유센터 체험과 연계해 진행한다.
