충남도교육청이 행정안전부 주관 ‘2025년 정보공개 종합평가’에서 전국 최우수 기관으로 선정되어 대통령 표창을 수상한다고 21일 밝혔다. 시도교육청 단위에서 정보공개 발전 유공으로 대통령 표창을 받는 것은 역대 최초다.
이번 평가는 중앙행정기관과 지자체, 공공기관 등 전국 561개 기관을 대상으로 실시되었으며, ,사전정보공표 ,원문공개 ,청구 처리 등 5개 분야 12개 지표를 정밀하게 분석해 도출된 결과다.
충남교육청은 국민이 요구하기 전 관심을 가질만한 정보를 미리 찾아 공개하는 ‘사전정보공표’ 항목에서 압도적인 성과를 거뒀다. 정보의 개방성과 접근성을 획기적으로 개선해 행정 투명성을 한 단계 끌어올렸다는 평가다.
또한, 결재 문서 등을 가감 없이 드러내는 원문정보 공개를 활성화하고, 시민들의 정보공개 청구에 대해 신속하고 충실하게 답변하는 등 국민 중심의 서비스 품질 개선에 주력해 왔다.
이번 성과는 제도 운영의 내실화가 뒷받침되었기에 가능했다. 교육청은 내부 직원을 대상으로 정기적인 정보공개 역량 강화 교육을 실시해 조직 전반에 ‘투명한 정보 공유’ 문화를 정착시켰다.
