민생당 양건모 대변인은 9일 “모월 300만 원씩 20년 저축해도 주택마련 어려워, 이게 나라냐?” 제목의 논평을 발표했다. 양 대변인은 이 논평에서 “월 300만 원씩 20년 저축해도 서울에서 아파트를 사기가 어렵다. 서울아파트 중위가격이 9억 원을 넘기 때문이다. 9억 원의 아파트는 고사하고 전세가 10억, 20억을 하는 곳도 있다. 우왕좌왕하는 부동산 정책으로 집값은 상승하고, 여기에 코로나 경제 불황까지 겹치다 보니 사람들의 불만은 폭발 직전”이라고 강조하면서 “서울의 주택 수는 367만 개, 가구 수는 381만 개 정도로 주택보급률은 96%에 달하지만, 실제 자기 소유에 본인이 사는 자가 점유율은 42%이다. 가구 수가 이 정도면 거의 1가구 1주택에 가까워야 한다”고 지적했다.
이어 “자가주택 점유율이 낮은 이유는 무엇인가? 누군가 주택을 2채, 3채 또는 수십 채 가지고 있기 때문인가? 2가구 이상의 주택을 소유한 사람들에게 세금을 낮게 책정해서인가? 1인 가구가 증가해서 그런 것인가? 양도세가 비싸서 팔지를 못해서인가?”라면서 “진단이 정확해야 정확한 대책이 나온다. '이게 나라냐?'라는 말이 절로 나온다. 정부는 부동산 가격이 치솟는 이유와 자가 주택 보유율이 낮은 이유를 정확히 밝히고, 실질적인 부동산 대책을 제시하라“고 촉구했다.
