진보당 대구시당이 지난 7월 불법시위를 주도한 민주노동조합총연맹(이하 민주노총) 양경수 위원장의 구속에 대해 규탄에 나섰다.
진보당 대구시당은 논평을 통해 “문재인 정권이 도주할 상황도 이유도 없는 민주노총 양경수 위원장을 빠루와 해머까지 동원해 강제 연행했다”고 비판했다.
이들은 양 위원장의 구속영장 발부와 강제연행의 이유가 된 ‘7.3전국노동자대회’에 대해 “그날의 노동자대회는 불평등, 산재사망, 비정규직 차별, 고용불안과 저임금 등으로 터져 나오는 노동자들의 절규였고, 살려달라는 호소였다”고 주장했다.
그러면서 “강제연행은 한 사람의 인신에 대한 구속이 아니라, 노동자들의 절규와 호소를 짓밟는 것에 다름 아닌 명백한 노동탄압”이라고 강조했다.
아울러 진보당 대구시당은 “이제 남은 것은 폭거에 맞선 투쟁 뿐”이라며 “10월 20일 총파업의 대대적인 성사와 사회대개혁을 위한 투쟁에 더 힘차게 연대할 것”이라는 입장을 밝혔다.
