브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 전 검찰총장측은 3일 검찰총장 시절 여권 정치인과 언론인에 대한 검찰 고발을 사주했다는 의혹과 관련 "후보를 흠집내기 하고 혼란에 빠뜨리게 하는 정치공작"이라며 조작 가능성을 제기했다.
앞서 인터넷매체 뉴스버스는 검찰이 지난해 총선을 앞두고 당시 미래통합당 측에 유시민 노무현재단 이사장, 최강욱·황희석 당시 열린민주당 비례대표 후보를 고발하라고 사주했다고 보도했다.
이에 대해 윤석열 캠프의 김경진 대외협력특보는 이날 CBS라디오 김현정의 뉴스쇼에 출연해 "일단 그런 사실 자체가 없다. 도대체 무슨 영문인지 모르겠다라고 하는 게 윤 후보의 얘기다. 사주 당사자로 거론되는 손준성 검사도 그런 사실이 없다하지 않나. 그렇다면 전체적으로 보면 그런 사실 자체가 없었다는 것"이라고 밝혔다.
김경진 특보는 이어 김웅 당시 미래통합당 총선 후보가 받은 고발장이 조작됐을 가능성이 있다고 주장했다. 그는 "조국 장관 일가가 무죄라고 주장했던, 또 윤석열 후보가 문제가 많은 후보라고 주장하는 세력들이 조작했을 가능성이 있다"면서, 고발장 캡쳐 사진 증거와 관련 "핸드폰 특성상 발신자 이름을 손준성으로 지정하면 그 사람 실체가 누가됐든 손중성으로 찍히는 것 아닌가. 수사라든지 검찰 감찰 과정을 통해 밝혀지겠지만 조작 가능성도 충분히 있어 보인다"고 강조했다.
김 특보는 또한 당시 총선이 열흘도 안남아 김웅 후보가 정신이 없을 시점에 윤 후보가 대리 고발을 사주하는게 상황과 맥락상에도 맞지 않다고 주장했다.
그는 "김웅 의원이 연수원 동기로 친하다면 IQ가 70이상만 되는 사람이라면 후원금도 주고 격려는 못할망정 그렇게 골치 아픈 일을 시키겠나. 상상이 안되는 것"이라며 "김웅 의원도 스스로 상황을 파악하고 좀더 적극적으로 해명을 했어야 한다"고 아쉬움을 토로했다.
현재 김웅 의원은 유승민 후보 캠프의 대리인을 맡고 있어, 상대 후보 진영에 대한 해명에 소극적일 수 밖에 없다는 의미에서 이같이 말한 것을 보인다.
한편, 윤석열 캠프는 해당 의혹을 보도한 언론사에 대해 법적 조치를 예고했다. 그러면서 여권에서는 국정조사를, 대검 감찰부에는 진상조사를 요구했다.
김경진 특보는 이와 관련 "문재인 정부 법무부가 똥볼을 한두번 찬 게 아니지 않나"라며 "추미애 장관은 조국 장관 일가가 전부 무죄라고 주장했지만 하나도 맞아 떨어진게 없고 박번계 장관은 정파적 발언을 하는 걸 보면 문재인 정부의 법무무, 검찰 하는 짓들이 그렇게 믿을 수가 없다"라고 꼬집었다.

Special adviser Kim also argued that Yoon's request for a proxy accusation was not in line with the situation and context when the general elections were less than 10 days away.

"I can't imagine it," he said. "Kim Woong should have understood the situation himself and explained it more actively.
