계명대 동산병원 조치흠 교수, 아시아부인과 로봇수술학회장 취임

계명대가 동산병원 산부인과 조치흠 교수의 아시아 부인과 로봇수술학회장 취임 소식을 전했다.

조치흠 교수는 지난 1일 아시아 부인과 로봇수술학회(ASGRS: Asian Society of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery) 회장으로 취임하여 2023년 8월까지 활동을 이어간다.

2015년 창립된 아시아 부인과 로봇수술학회는 부인과 로봇수술 연구와 술기 등을 활발하게 공유하는 아시아권 의사와 의료 전문가들의 공식 모임이다.

조치흠 교수는 아시아 부인과 로봇수술을 세계적인 수준으로 발전시키기 위한 목표로 부인과 로봇 수술 저널(GRS: Gynecologic Robotic Surgery journal)을 창간하고 현재 편집위원장으로 활동하는 등 부인과 로봇수술 분야에서 많은 노력을 기울여왔다.

지난 2011년 계명대 동산병원에 로봇수술을 도입하여 의학계가 주목하는 많은 성과를 낸 조치흠 교수는 2015년 ‘자궁경부암 단일공 로봇수술’에 성공하여 아시아 최초의 기록을 남겼으며 2016년에는 ‘자궁내막암 단일공 로봇수술을 이용한 대동맥 림프절 절제술’에도 성공해 세계 최초의 사례가 되었다.
