더불어민주당 대구광역시당(위원장 김대진)이 2주간의 취수원 이전 캠페인을 마무리했다.
대구시당은 지난 8월 31일(화) 대구시의회에서 대구 취수원 다변화를 위한 캠페인을 시작했다.
이날 김대진 시당위원장과 지역위원장들은 “숙원을 희망으로 만드는 일에 대구시민들도 함께 해달라”고 전했다.
이어 대구시당은 9월 1일 환경부 이영기 물관리정책실장을 초청해 낙동강 물 정수와 취수원 다변화에 관한 환경부의 상세한 입장을 청취했다.
아울러 6일 토론회를 통해 취수원 이전에 따른 대구시의 다양한 활동과 현황, 취수원 이전과 관련된 시민들의 오해와 불신을 개선하는 노력을 이어갔다.
또한 민주당 대구시당은 대선후보 6명에게 정책질의서를 발송했다.
이에 이재명 후보는 대구·경북 발전을 위한 6개 공약 발표를 통해 낙동강 수질 개선과 물 산업 육성에 대한 입장을 내놓았다.
정세균 후보는“오랜 숙원인 대구 취수원 이전 문제 하루속히 해결되어야 한다.”면서 “갈등의 낡은 문을 닫고 공존의 새로운 문을 열어야 한다”고 밝히며 구미 KTX역 신설을 통한 대구·구미 지역 상생을 제시했다.
이낙연 후보는 총리 시절 대구 취수원 문제 해결을 위해 정부, 지자체와 긴 시간 동안 논의를 통해 양해각서를 체결한 것에 대해 언급하며 낙동강 물 살리기를 그린 뉴딜 핵심사업으로 채택할 것을 강조했다.
박용진 후보는 “대구 취수원 이전 문제에 대해 시민들의 의견을 세심하게 귀 기울여 논의결정에 주의 깊게 살피겠다”는 입장을 밝혔다.
한편 김부겸 총리는 9일 취임 후 첫 대구방문에서 “고향 까마귀 출신 총리로서 대구 숙원인 물 문제 해결에 최선을 다하겠다”면서 “구미시민들을 가능한 설득하고 방안을 함께 찾아내 오랜숙원인 물 문제를 해결하기 위해 정부가 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
김대진 대구시당위원장은 취수원 이전 캠페인이 끝난 후에도 대구시당은 지속해서 중앙정부와 소통하며 대구·구미 상생의 취수원 이전 합의가 잘 마무리될 수 있도록 끝까지 최선을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.
