경북도립대학교(총장 김상동) 자치행정과에서 공무원·공기업 합격자가 연달아 배출되어 눈길을 끌고 있다.
경북도립대학교에 따르면 지난 9일 발표된 경상북도 지방공무원 시험에 자치행정과 재학생 최신설(2학년)·변정수 (1학년) 학생이 예천군 일반행정직에 최종 합격했다. 이에 앞서 지난 7월에는 김휘연(3학년) 학생이 농어촌공사 7급 사원에 합격했다.

이 같은 성과에 경북도립대학교 자치행정과 관계자는 “그동안 공무원 시험과목 중심의 교육과정과 종합적이고 실무적인 교육을 운영한 결과”라고 설명했다.
일반행정직에 최종 합격한 자치행정과 최신설 학생은 “학과의 교육과정, 공무원 양성원, 특강, 장학금 등 다양한 지원을 통해 우리 사회에서 공직의 가치를 더 잘 이해할 수 있었다”면서 “이러한 환경이 대학 재학 중에 합격하는 데 많은 도움이 되었다. 공직을 희망하는 다른 후배들도 좋은 여건을 잘 활용해 꿈을 이룰 수 있었으면 좋겠다”며 소감을 전했다.
