대구대학교(총장 김상호) 관광경영학과가 ‘가야산생태탐방원 보호지역 아카데미’ 현장체험 프로그램을 진행했다.
대구대학교는 지난 9일부터 1박 2일간 국립공원공단 가야산생태탐방원에서 ‘현장체험 프로그램을 통해 관광휴양과 공원관리학 이론적 학습기회의 확대 및 관광 체험 활동에 나섰다.

이번 프로그램은 가야산생태탐방원과 관광경영학과의 업무협약체결의 일환으로 학생들의 국내현장 실습 및 학점연계 현장체험 학습을 위해 마련되었다.
이번 현장체험 프로그램은 관광경영학과 재학생 30명이 참여해 가야산생태탐방원에 대한 소개 교육과 함께 주요장소를 방문하며 자연 관광자원의 보호적 관점에서 국립공원 체험을 통해 관광자원의 이해력을 증진할 수 있는 기회를 제공받았다.
특히 가야산생태탐방원은 관광경영학과는 공동으로 미래 유망직업인 ‘자연환경해설사’ 양성을 계획하면서 체험학습을 통해 학생들의 진로 설계 및 전공역량 강화를 지원하고 지역 상생 발전에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대했다.
이주희 관광경영학과 교수는 “산을 중심으로 한 생태탐방원은 생태문화적 가치로 인해 보호해야 할 중요한 자산이다”며 “이번 행사를 통해 자연 친화적 관광의 중요성과 함께 관광 사업화의 새로운 사회적 패러다임을 이해하는 체험학습의 기회가 됐다”고 말했다.
