‘이재명 게이트’는 더불어민주당 이재명 대선 예비후보가 성남시장이었던 시절 성남시 분당구 대장동 개발사업과 관련, 화천대유자산관리(이하 화천대유) 등에 특혜를 제공했다는 개발비리 의혹이다.
홍준표 후보는 지난 20일 대장동 개발비리 의혹 현장을 찾아 “만일 의혹이 사실이면 이재명 경기도지사는 사퇴할 일이 아니라 감옥에 가야 할 것”이라며 특검 도입의 필요성을 피력한 바 있다.
