브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 캠프 공동 선거대책위원장을 맡았던 우원식 의원은 12일 이낙연 전 대표측의 무효표 주장에 대해, 원칙을 중시하는 이 전 대표가 결단을 내릴 것이라고 밝혔다.
우원식 의원은 이날 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중'과의 인터뷰에서 "(정세균·김두관 후보 사퇴로 인한 무효표는) 이미 충분히 검토된 사안이고, 지난 최고위원회의에서 논의해 당 선관위에서 해석을 내렸기 때문에 특별히 더 논의할 사안은 아니다"라고 일축했다.
우 의원은 "지난 최고위원회의에서 논의했고 그런 속에서 경선이 치러진 것이기 때문에 이미 그렇게 해석한 것을 가지고 최고위원회에서 결론을 내릴 것"이라며 "이낙연 후보님은 평소 원칙을 중요하게 생각하시는 분이기 때문에 당의 결정, 그리고 당원들과 국민들의 결정을 받아들이시대승적으로 결단할 것이라 생각한다"고 말했다.
무효표 논란과 관련해 지난 2002년 대선 경선 때부터 사퇴한 후보의 득표는 무효로 처리하기로 합의됐고 적용된 사례들이 여러 차례 있는만큼 더 논의해야 할 사안은 아니라는 설명이다.
우 의원은 또한 진행자의 "이재명 후보가 이낙연 전 대표를 만날 수 있느냐"는 질문에 "충분히 그럴 필요가 있다"며 "이재명 후보도 당연히 그런 생각을 갖고 있고 그렇게 할 것이다. 할 수 있는 한 빨리 할 것"이라고 전망했다.

In an interview with MBC Radio's "Kim Jong-bae's attention," Woo Won-sik dismissed, "The invalid vote due to candidate Jung Se-kyun and Kim Doo-kwan's resignation has already been fully reviewed, and it is not a matter to be discussed further because the election committee discussed it at the last Supreme Council."
Rep. Woo said, "We discussed it at the Supreme Council last time and the race was held, so the Supreme Committee will conclude with what it has already interpreted," adding, "I think candidate Lee Nak-yeon will make a successive decision in accepting the party's decision and the people's decision."
Regarding the controversy over invalid votes, the votes of candidates who resigned from the 2002 presidential election have been agreed to be nullified, and there have been several cases applied, so it is not an issue to be discussed further.
Asked by the host, "Can candidate Lee Jae-myung meet former CEO Lee Nak-yeon?" Rep. Woo also said, "We need to do so enough," adding, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung naturally has that idea and will do so." I will do it as soon as I can, he predicted.
