국민의힘 홍석준 의원(대구 달서구갑)이 한국방송광고진흥공사의 부적절한 인사 문제 질타에 나섰다.

홍 의원은 "코바코 사장·감사 및 본부장 등 임원 중 66%가 외부 출신의 '낙하산' 인사로 대부분 친정부·여당 성향으로 알려졌다"고 지적했다.
그는 “이 가운데 코바코가 공공기관 경영실적평가에서 2년 연속으로 C등급을 받았고 영업손실도 2019년에 215억 원에서 2020년 305억 원으로 증가한 것이 확인되었다.”면서 “거듭된 낙하산 인사로 영업적자가 지속되고 있다”고 비판했다.
이어 "정부 기관 평가에서도 C 등급을 부여받는 등 낮은 경영성과와 적자를 지속하고 있어, 이에 대한 대책 마련이 시급하다"고 강조했다.
이에 이백만 코바코 사장은 “적자가 나는 것은 임원들의 능력이 부족해서가 아니라 시장구조와 미디어 시장환경이 변화한 만큼 회사의 시스템이 정비가 안 돼서 그런 것 같다”며, “임원은 저마다의 전문성을 갖고 있고 적법한 절차에 의해서 선임된 거로 알고 있다”고 대답했다.
