대구대학교(총장 김상호) 글로벌브릿지연구소가 운영하는 영재교육원이 2022학년도 정보, 융합 및 외국어 영재과정 신입생을 모집한다고 19일 밝혔다.
지난 8년간 경상북도 내 영재교육을 주도한 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원은 오는 22일부터 11월 12일까지 신입생을 모집한다.

정보 영재과정은 경상북도에 소재한 초등학교 4학년부터 고등학교 2학년까지의 학생을 총 30명 선발하여 프로그래밍 언어, 피지컬 컴퓨팅 등을 활용한 개별 프로젝트 수행 과정을 진행할 예정으로 IT 영재가 지녀야 할 전문지식을 교육한다.
융합 영재과정은 초등학교 5학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지의 학생을 총 45명 선발하여 토론 및 발표 중심의 교육 프로그램에 참여해 창의융합적 역량과 문제해결력을 함양하고 지역연계 공동교육과정 고교학점제와 연계해 진로 연구 활동도 한다.
외국어 영재과정은 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 3학년까지의 학생을 총 30명 선발하며, 영어와 중국어를 공통 교육과정으로 토의·토론 중심의 논리적이고 창의적인 언어문제해결능력을 함양하도록 교육한다.
학생들은 영재교육원을 통해 자기주도적 학습과 함께 각 분야의 권위 있는 책임교수 및 현직 교사들로 구성한 강사진에게 맞춤형 멘토링을 받을 예정으로 2022년 3월부터 11월까지 주말 및 여름방학에 집중교육(캠프)이 실시된다.
