경북도립대학교(총장 김상동)가 BMW그룹 코리아로부터 교육용 BMW 520i Lux 차량을 기증받았다고 19일 밝혔다.
경북도립대학교는 지난 9월 27일 자동차 도장 및 차체수리 분야에서는 국내 최초로 한독상공회의소와 아우스빌둥 직업훈련교육 업무협약을 체결했다.
아우스빌둥 교육프로그램은 기업의 현장교육과 학교의 이론교육이 결합된 독일의 선진기술인력 양성과정으로 한독상공회의소가 주관하고 BMW그룹 코리아, 메르세데스벤츠 코리아, 아우디폭스바겐 코리아, 다임러트럭 코리아, 만트럭버스 코리아가 참여한다.

협약에 이어 기증된 자동차는 내년부터 시행되는 아우스빌둥 교육프로그램에 사용할 예정으로 해당 프로그램은 총 3년 과정으로 학교 이론교육(12개월)과 직업 현장 실무교육(24개월 병행)으로 구성되어 있다.
아우스빌둥 프로그램 교육생으로 선발된 학생들은 경북도립대학교에 입학해 도장 및 판금 기술 관련 전공심화과정을 이수하고 방학 기간에는 참여기업의 현장실무교육을 교차 이수하게 된다.
교육 과정 이수 후, 최종 평가에 합격하면 아우스빌둥 참여기업인 독일계 자동차 기업에 취업하여 숙련된 전문 인력으로 거듭난다.
경북도립대학교 김상동 총장은 “BMW그룹 코리아의 교육용 차량 기증으로 학생들의 사기 진작에 큰 도움이 될 것이며 뜻깊은 기부에 감사드린다.”라며 “경북도립대학교가 자동차 도장 및 판금 분야의 인력양성에 중추적 역할을 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
