대구대학교(총장 김상호)가 운영하는 대구광역시 보조기기센터가 정보통신 보조기기 임대보급 사업에 선정됐다.
대구대는 장애인 및 노인들에게 체계적인 보조기기 서비스를 제공하는 대구광역시 보조기기센터가 최근 한국지능정보사회진흥원 및 대구광역시가 지원하는 정보통신 보조기기 임대보급 사업에 선정돼 오는 2023년 12월까지 사업을 진행한다고 26일 밝혔다.

정보통신 보조기기 임대보급 사업은 장애인을 위해 경제적으로 부담되는 고가의 정보통신 보조기기를 임대보급 하는 사업으로 대구광역시 보조기기센터는 지난 2014년에 최초 선정된 이후 두 번째로 선정되어 사업을 진행하게 되었다.
이에 따라 대구광역시 보조기기센터는 지금까지 수행한 정보통신 보조기기 서비스 인프라를 기반으로 향후 9종의 최신 정보통신 보조기기를 약 32대 마련할 계획이며 대구광역시 거주자 중 보조기기 임대 희망자는 해당 사업을 통해 최대 1년까지 임대신청도 할 수 있게 된다.
