경일대학교(총장 정현태) 항공서비스학과가 ‘제 1회 윙(Wing) 수여식’을 개최하고 학생들의 꿈을 응원하기 위해 나섰다.

지난 27일 코로나19로 인해 미뤄오던 ‘제1회 윙(Wing) 수여식’이 개최되었다.
‘윙(Wing) 수여식’은 선배가 후배에게 항공기 날개를 상징하는 배지를 수여하고 이와 함께 예비승무원으로서 갖추어야 할 성품을 되새기는 행사이다.
이번 행사에서는 항공서비스학과 교수들이 3학년 학생들에게 꽃을 전달하고, 3학년 학생들은 윙 배지를 후배들에게 직접 달아주며 꿈을 응원하는 시간이 이어졌다.
이와 함께 학생들은 종이비행기를 날리며 코로나19 상황의 종식을 기원했다.
경일대 항공서비스학과 이종호 학과장은 “윙의 의미는 누구나 믿을 수 있고 언제 어디서나 새로움을 추구하며, 무엇이든 도전하는 학생으로 거듭나 항공사에서 원하는 인재가 되길 기원하는 것이다”며 “이번 수여식을 통해 선후배 간의 사이가 더욱 돈독해져 각자의 목표를 이루기 위해 노력했으면 한다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
