경북교육청(교육감 임종식)이 오는 3월부터 시행될 특수교육 교육과정 운영을 위한 준비작업에 착수했다.
경북교육청은 28일 정책협의실에서 특수교육 교육과정 편성·운영 지침의 수정 및 보완을 위한 특수교육 교육과정 연구협의회를 개최했다.

경북 특수교육 교육과정 편성·운영지침은 경북 지역 특수학교 및 유·초·중·고등학교 특수학급의 교육과정 운영에 관한 가이드라인으로, 매년 수정 및 보완 작업을 하고 있다.
연구협의회는 권영근 교육국장을 회장으로, 유·초·중등 특수교육 분야의 교육과정 전문가 등을 위원으로 총 14명으로 구성돼 있다.
이들은 각급 학교에서 현재 특수교육 교육과정 편성·운영지침에 대한 개정 의견을 수렴했다.
이와 함께 교육부 및 타시도 교육청의 특수교육 교육과정 편성·운영 지침을 분석해 교육 현장에 실제적인 도움이 될 수 있는 지침을 마련할 계획이다.
또한 장애학생의 유형별 맞춤형 지원이 될 수 있고, 통합교육에 필요한 가이드라인을 보완하여 오는 11월 말 지침을 확정할 예정이다.
권영근 교육국장은 “2020 개정 특수교육 교육과정의 정신과, 각 교육주체들의 요구들이 잘 반영되어 현장에서 환영을 받을 수 있는 특수교육 교육과정 편성·운영지침을 만들어 달라”고 말했다.
