영진전문대학교(총장 최재영) AI융합기계계열이 전국 대학생 금형기술대회에서 금상을 모두 싹쓸이 하며 금형설계 기술의 요람으로 이목을 끌고 있다.
지난 4일 오후 영진전문대학교는 연서관 강의실에서 대학생 금형 3차원CAD기술경진대회에서 수상한 재학생들을 위한 시상식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

시상식에는 협약기업이자 금형인재 양성을 위해 장학금 1천만 원을 기탁중인 대구 소재 세원물산(주) 관계자들이 참석해 이 회사로 입사가 확정된 김재관(프레스금형설계 금상), 박진우(사출금형설계, 동상) 학생을 축하하고 격려하는 시간으로 이어졌다.
2004년부터 이어져온 대학생 금형 3차원CAD기술경진대회는 전공 대학생들을 대상으로 기업현장 맞춤형 설계인력을 육성하고, 나아가 뿌리산업인 금형산업의 국제경쟁력 강화에 기여하고자 실시되며 영진전문대학교 AI융합기계계열은 해당대회에서 사출금형설계와 프레스금형설계 두 분야 모두 금상을 석권하며 금형설계 전국 최고 실력을 입증했다.
사출금형설계 분야 금상은 조용범 학생(2년)이 차지하였으며 산업통상자원부장관상, 프레스금형설계 분야는 김재관 학생(2년)이 금상인 중소벤처기업부장관상의 영예를 안았다.
뿐만 아니라 박진우 학생(2년)이 사출금형설계 분야 동상으로 한국금형공업협동조합이사장상을, 송이준 학생(2년) 역시 프레스금형설계 분야 동상으로 한국금형공학회회장상을 차지했다.
사출금형 금상을 수상한 조용범 학생은 “우리 계열은‘NCS과정평가형자격 과정’을 도입, 수업이 곧 자격과정이면서 현장 실무중심이라 CAD실력을 크게 향상할 수 있었다”면서 입상을 기뻐했다.
