브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 국민의힘 대선 후보는 10일 국립 5·18민주묘지에 방문, '전두환 옹호' 발언을 한 데 대해 "제 발언으로 상처받은 분께 머리 숙여 사과드린다"고 밝혔다.
윤석열 후보는 이날 오후 4시30분경 광주광역시 북구에 위치한 국립 5·18민주묘지에서 참배한 뒤 "저는 40여년 전 5월 광주 시민들이 대한민국의 민주주의를 위해 피와 눈물로 희생한 것을 똑똑히 기억하고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
윤 후보는 "광주의 아픈 역사가 대한민국의 자랑스러운 역사가 됐고, 광주의 피가 대한민국의 민주주의를 꽃 피웠다"면서 "이 시대를 사는 우리 모두는 5월 광주의 아들이고 딸"이라고 강조했다.

그는 이어 "제가 대통령이 된다면 슬프고 쓰라린 역사를 넘어 꿈과 희망이 넘치는 역동적인 광주와 호남을 만들겠다. 지켜봐 달라"고 말했다.
