경북과학대학교(총장 김현정)가 치유농업 활성화를 위해 지역의 농업기술센터와 업무 협약을 체결했다.
경북과학대 산학협력단은 지난 10일과 11일 성주군농업기술센터, 칠곡군농업기술센터와 각각 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 업무협약으로 관련 기관은 △치유농업 관련 정보와 기술교환 △치유농업 프로그램의 개발 △농업 분야의 연구 및 시범사업 보급 등을 위해 적극 협력할 예정이다.
또한 경북도 치매선도대학으로 지정된 경북과학대는 치매선도 및 인식개선 활동과 관련해 치유농업과 연계한 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
아울러 대학 내의 치유농업 관련 프로그램 및 시설을 공유해 치유농업 확산 및 농업의 활성화를 위한 정보 교류와 유기적인 연대를 강화할 방침이다.
경북과학대 김현정 총장은 “농업과 농촌자원을 활용한 다양한 활동으로 국민의 정신적·육체적 건강 증진과 삶의 질 향상을 돕는 치유농업은 고령화 농촌에 활기를 불어넣고 농업의 가치를 높여줄 것”이라며 “미래농업을 견인할 치유농업 활성화를 위한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
