창원시 마산합포구, 월영동행정복지센터 개청식

[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 2일 허성무 창원시장, 도·시의원, 기관단체장, 지역 주민 등이 참석한 가운데 마산합포구 월영동행정복지센터 신청사 개청식을 가졌다.

지난 2019년 5월 착공해 2년이 넘는 공사를 거쳐 완공된 청사는 지하 1층, 지상 3층, 연면적 2,106㎡ 규모로 총 65억 원의 사업비가 투입됐다. 1층은 민원실과 주민소통의 방이, 2층은 고운 도서관 및 대강당, 3층은 주민자치센터 강의실이 각각 배치되어 있는데 지난달 1일부터 업무를 시작했으며 1개월간의 추가 정비·보수 작업을 마치고 개청식을 가졌다.

이에 맞춰 7시부터는 마산서항지구 친수공간에서 신청사 개청과 단계적 일상회복을 축하하는 시민 어울림 음악회를 개최한다.

허성무 창원시장은 “신청사 공사로 인한 불편을 기꺼이 감내해준 주민들 덕분에 멋진 청사가 완공될 수 있었다”며 “겨울에 피어 봄이 오고 있음을 알리는 복수초처럼 12월에 개청한 신청사가 월영동의 새로운 미래와 희망을 여는 기폭제 역할을 하길 바란다”고 말했다.
