[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 지난 7월 국내 최초로 액화수소플랜트 구축사업을 착공한 창원시(시장 허성무)는 정부의 청정수소경제로의 대전환을 선도하기 위해 두산중공업, 하이창원과 손을 잡고 CO2 배출이 없는 청정 블루 액화수소 생산과 이에 관련된 기술의 국산화를 본격적으로 추진한다.

시는 3일 시청 접견실에서 허성무 시장을 비롯한 정연인 두산중공업 대표이사, 백정한 하이창원 대표이사가 참석한 가운데 ‘창원 액화수소플랜트 이산화탄소 포집·활용 사업을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다.

수소산업특별시를 지향하고 있는 창원시는 2020년 3월 산업부의 ‘산업단지환경개선(스마트산단) 펀드사업 주간사업자’로 선정된 이후 액화수소 플랜트 구축을 위해 사업 시행을 위한 특수목적법인(SPC)인 ‘하이창원’의 설립 및 운영을 지원하고 있다.
