[브레이크뉴스=주윤한기자] 올해 대한민국을 대표하는 과일로 '거창 사과'가 영예를 안았다.
거창군에 따르면 군은 6일 서울 양재동 aT센터에서 개최한 농가(후지 출품)가 1위에 빛나는 ‘대상’을, 웅양면 최옥수 농가(아리수 출품)는 ‘장려상’의 영예를 차지했다고 밝혔다.
‘대한민국 대표과일 선발대회’는 국산 과일의 우수성 홍보, 소비촉진으로 과수산업 육성을 위해 농림축산식품부와 한국과수농협연합회에서 주최·주관하는 과수부문 국내 최대 규모의 행사로 올해로 열한 번째를 맞았다.
대회는 국내의 시도별로 일반과수 7과종 (사과·배·단감·감귤·포도·복숭아·참다래) 103점, 산림과수 4과종 (밤, 호두, 떫은감, 대추) 40점으로 총 143점을 대상으로 심사를 진행했다.
