경북교육청(교육감 임종식)과 대구교육청(교육감 강은희)이 MOU체결 3주년을 맞아 교류증진 협의회를 개최했다.
지난 22일 오전 경북 안동시 경북도교육청 웅비관에서 경상북도교육청-대구광역시교육청 교류증진 협의회가 개최되었다.

경북-대구교육청 교류증진 협의회는 미래사회 인재 육성과 교육 교류 증진을 위해 지난 2018년 업무협약을 시작으로 3년째 이어져 오고 있다.
협의회는 코로나19 장기화로 지난 2019년 대구교육청에서 열린 협의회 이후 2년 만에 개최되었으며 교류사업 성과 보고와 교육 현안을 논의하고 상생 발전 방안을 함께 모색하는 시간으로 진행되었다.
이날 양교육청은 2021년 교류사업인 △국제 바칼로레아(IB) 프로그램 운영 △대구·경북 다시보기 상호 협력 △미래교육지구 추진 협력 △학생교육시설 교류 활성화 등의 사업결과를 공유했다.
이와 함께 내년 5월 군위군의 대구시 편입 가시화로 행정구역 개편과 관련해 교육과정, 인사, 예산 분야에 대한 논의가 이어졌다.
이를 통해 양 교육청은 군위 편입 추진 공동TF팀을 올해 안에 발족하고 군위군 소재 교육기관의 이관 업무를 적극 협력하여 교육공동체가 만족할 수 있는 교육행정서비스를 제공하기로 약속했다.
경북교육청 관계자는“코로나19로 교육현장이 어렵지만, 앞으로도 교육 정책 교류의 기회를 확대하고 다양한 교류사업을 통해 상호협력하고 소통하여 함께 발전해 나가기로 했다”고 말했다.
대구교육청 관계자는 “군위군의 대구시 편입 등 중대한 사안을 앞둔 만큼 교류증진협의회가 내실있게 운영될 수 있도록 노력하는 한편, 코로나19 확산 상황을 고려하여 방역에도 만전을 기하겠다“고 했다.
