브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 국민의힘 대선후보가 지난 5일 선대위 쇄신을 선언하며 확실히 변화된 모습을 보이겠다고 했으나 당 내 갈등은 여전히 현재진행형이다.
윤석열 후보는 선대위 해산 이후 본인 주도 하에 당직 인선을 했다. 최측근으로 불린 권성동 의원 후임으로 권영세 의원을 선대본부장 겸 사무총장으로 내정하고, 이철규 의원을 전략기획부총장으로 내정했다. 하지만 이준석 대표가 이에 제동을 걸며 이들은 또다시 충돌했다.
이 대표는 권영세 사무총장 임명에 대해선 찬성 입장으로 선회했지만 이철규 의원은 '윤핵관(윤석열 핵심 관계자)'라는 이유를 들며 반대한 것으로 알려졌다.
윤 후보는 이에 당무우선권을 주장하며 강행시켰다. 임명안은 최고위 의결 사항이 아닌 협의사항이기 때문에 이 대표의 반대와 상관없이 윤 후보가 임명할 수 있는 사안이다.
여기에 더해 원내지도부는 이준석 대표에 대한 사퇴결의안까지 꺼내들면서 내홍은 더욱 격화된 분위기다.
추경호 원내수석부대표는 이날 열린 비공개 의총에서 "당 대표가 변하는 모습을 아직 볼 수가 없다", "이젠 도저히 참을 수 없다", "당 대표 사퇴에 대한 결심을 할 때가 됐고 여기서 결정하자"고 '이준석 사퇴 결의안'을 제안했다.

의총 참석 의원들은 오전 내내 찬반 토론을 이어갔으나 결론을 내지 못하고, 이날 오후 다시 의총을 재개하고 이 대표 참석을 기다리는 상황이다. 의총에서 일부 의원은 이준석 대표를 "양아치", "사이코패스"라고 부르며 비난하기도 했다.
하지만 이준석 대표는 의총 참석을 거부하며 "(의총에서) 통상적으로 당 대표가 할 수 있는 공개발언도 못하게 하는데 대해 상당한 의문을 갖고 있다"며 "공개 발언 자체가 허용되지 않는 상황에 우려를 갖고 있다. 의원들이 바라면 모든 일정을 취소하고 무제한 토론에 응할 자신도 있다"고 했다.
한편 현재 의총장 분위기로는 참석 의원 다수가 이 대표의 사퇴안에 찬성하고 있고, 일부 의원은 '신중론', 소수 의원만이 반대하고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
