국가철도공단이 이달 14일부터 오는 4월 15일까지 철도변 급경사지 2,517개소에 대한 전수 점검에 나선다.
11일 철도공단에 따르면 공단은 해빙기 철도운행선 안전사고 예방을 위해 한국철도공사, 민간전문가와 합동으로 점검반을 편성해 ▲ 균열, 침하 등 비탈면 상태 ▲ 낙석 발생 우려 여부 ▲ 중·소규모 붕괴 가능성 있는 현장을 대상으로 안전 점검한다.
점검 결과는 공단 홈페이지를 통해 투명하게 공개하며 붕괴 위험성이 높은 현장에 대해서는 정밀점검과 안전진단을 실시해 보수·보강 등 안전조치를 진행할 예정이다.
공단은 위험 요인 발생 시 즉각적인 대응을 위해 해빙기(2월～4월)부터 우기(5월～10월)까지 재난대책상황실도 운영한다.
