브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대선 후보는 제20대 대통령 선거 당일인 9일 "이재명이 아니라 국민을 위해 투표해주십시오"라고 투표를 독려했다.
이재명 후보는 이날 오후 자신의 페이스북에 올린 '251일 동안 만났던 분들의 마음, 잊지 않겠다'는 제목의 글을 통해 "평범하고 성실한 우리 국민이 희망을 가질 수 있게, 스스로를 위해서, 이웃을 위해서 투표해주시길 간절한 마음으로 호소드린다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "출마 선언 후 251일 동안 전국의 수많은 분들을 만났다. 절절하게 호소하시는 그분들의 간절함이 제 폐부 깊이 박혀 있다. 간절한 눈빛 속에 담긴 그 말씀들 잊지 않겠다"며 선거기간 만난 이들을 일일이 거론했다.
이어 "이번 선거에 출마하는 것은 저 이재명만이 아니다"라며 "무수저, 흙수저들이 출마하고, 수백 장의 이력서를 쓰고도 절망하는 취업준비생이 출마하고, 아이들 키우기 위해 경력단절을 선택해야 하는 엄마가 출마한다. 몸이 망가질 정도로 일하는 택배 노동자들이 출마하고, 혐오와 폭력에 공포를 느끼는 우리 딸들이 출마한다"고 썼다.
그러면서 "이재명이 대통령인 나라가 아니라 우리 국민이 대통령인 나라, 만들어달라"고 강조했다.
