브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 김종인 전 국민의힘 총괄선거대책위원장은 9일 제20대 대통령 선거와 관련 "판세가 어떻게 될 것인지는 투표율에 따라서 오후 늦게나 짐작할 수 있을 것"이라고 밝혔다.
김종인 전 위원장은 이날 서울 종로구 평창동 투표소에서 투표를 마친 뒤 기자들과 만나 "출구조사를 안 봐도 대략은 짐작할 수 있을 것"이라며 이같이 말했다.
김 전 위원장은 다만 높은 투표율이 어느 후보에게 유리할 것으로 보느냐는 질문엔 "그건 내가 말하면 안된다"라고 말을 아꼈다.
사전투표율이 36.93%로 역대치를 찍은데 대해서도 "어느 후보에게 유리했는지 잘 모르겠는데 오늘 본투표 결과가 나와야 알 수 있을 것"이라고 즉답을 피했다.
그는 아울러 새로운 대통령에게 바라는 점을 묻는 질문엔 "누가 되더라도 정신을 바짝 차려야 한다"고 말했다.
한편, 김종인 전 위원장은 지난 4일 중앙일보와의 인터뷰에서 "윤석열 국민의힘 후보가 이기면 4~5%포인트 차이로 이길것이고 이재명 더불어민주당 후보가 이기면 2%포인트 차이로 이길 것"이라고 전망한 바 있다.
