브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한국은행 총재 임명을 두고 문재인 대통령과 윤석열 대통령 당선인간 신·구권력의 갈등이 다시한번 여실히 드러났다.
정권 이양기 끝을 앞둔 현재의 권력과 미래 권력 사이에 갈등이 있기는 마련이나, 문 대통령과 윤 당성인간 신경전은 어느때보다 치열하다.
갈등이 봉합될 모양새는 없고 각 현안마다 부딫히면서 대통령과 당선인간 회동이 성사될지도 미지수다.
청와대 이전을 놓고 정면충돌을 벌인 양측은 지난 23일 청와대가 발표한 한국은행 총재 인선 과정에서 또 한번 격돌했다.
청와대는 이창용 IMF아태담당국장을 한은 총재 후보로 지명하며 윤 당선인측의 의견을 반영했다고 발표하자, 당선인측은 "협의하거나 추천한 바 없다"고 펄쩍 뛰었다.
장제원 대통령당선인 비서실장은 "(청와대에서) '이창용 씨 어때요?'라고 하길래 내가 '좋은 사람 같다'고 했다. 그게 끝"이라며 "상식적으로 생각해보면 납득이 가나. 이건 결국 임명 강행을 위한 명분밖에 안된다"고 맹비판했다.
이에 청와대 고위관계자는 "오전 11시 대통령님을 뵙고 내려와 기분좋게 (당선인 측의) 원하는 바를 들어줬기 때문에 좋아할 줄 알고, (당선인 측에 전화해) 오늘 인사를 해서 대통령께 보고드렸고, 내부 절차 마치고 오늘 발표한다고 했다"면서 "그랬더니 본인은 합의한 적이 없다고 하고, 사람이 바뀌었다 딴 사람을 할거다란 주장도 했다. 또 하나는 (인사를) 패키지로 해야지 왜 이것만 하냐고 하는데 이 세가지가 섞여서 뭐가 진심인지도 모르겠다"고 폭로했다.
이 관계자는 이어 "그 쪽에서 인사 원하는대로 해주면 선물이 될 것 같기도 하고, 이 것이 계기가 되어 잘 풀릴 수 있겠다 싶었는데 당황스럽다"고 덧붙였다.
한편, 한은총재 지명을 두고도 신구권력이 또 마찰을 빚자, 청와대 회동을 위한 실무 협상은 다시 교착 상태에 빠질 것이란 분석이 제기되고 있다. 다만 양측은 모두 표면적으로 회동은 한다는 입장이다.
박수현 청와대 국민소통수석은 "대통령과 당선인의 회동은 언제든 조건없이 열려야 한다는 것이 청와대와 대통령의 뜻이었음을 잘 알 것"이라며 "그 입장에 변화 없다"고 전했다.
김은혜 당선인 대변인도 "윤석열 대통령 당선인은 국민을 위한 결실을 낼 수 있다면 여야를 떠나서 누구든지 만날수 있다 라는 입장을 견지해왔다"며 "(회동 문제가)순리대로 해결되기 바란다"고 말했다.
