고양시가 3월 28일 고양생태교육센터에서 ‘2022년 고양생태환경교육센터 자원봉사자 오리엔테이션’을 성황리에 개최했다.
고양생태교육센터 자원봉사자는 공개모집 서류심사에 합격한 환경교육 전문가 32명으로 구성됐다.

선발된 자원봉사자들은 올해 4월부터 12월까지 고양생태공원과 일산호수공원을 찾는 시민을 대상으로 생태환경 해설 및 체험활동을 진행해 우리 시 자연환경의 소중함과 보존 방법을 알릴 예정이다.
또한 자원봉사자들은 공원에 서식하는 생물종과 생태적 특징을 조사하는 역할을 수행한다.
조사 결과는 자료집으로 제작해 생태환경교육 자료로 활용할 계획이다.
이날 선발된 자원봉사자들은 2022년 자원봉사활동 세부 운영방침에 대해 안내 받은 후 센터 야외정원에서 고양시장과 만남의 시간을 가졌다.
이재준 고양시장은 “환경교육에 관한 풍부한 경험과 지식을 갖춘 자원봉사자분들께서 지식과 시간을 기꺼이 나누어 주신 것에 감사의 말씀을 드린다”며 “사명감과 자부심을 갖고 활동할 수 있도록 지원해드릴 것”이라고 밝혔다. 고양=박정호기자

Goyang City successfully held the ‘2022 Goyang Ecological Environment Education Center Volunteer Orientation’ at the Goyang Ecological Education Center on March 28.
