더불어민주당 대전시당은 6일 시·구의회 비례대표 후보를 시민이 참여하는 공개오디션 방식으로 선출하기로 했다.
장철민 대전시당 지방선거기획단장은 이날 대전시의회에서 기자간담회를 열고 “변화와 혁신의 기조를 바탕으로 시민이 참여하는 공개 오디션 방식으로 시·구의회 비례대표 후보를 선출하고 생활밀착형 공약개발을 위한 '민주직구(민주시민이 직접 꾸미는 공약) 프로젝트'를 추진한다”고 밝혔다,
장철민 단장은 “변화와 새로운 혁신의 모습으로 지방선거 치르는 것이 시민에 대한 도리” 라며 처음 시도하는 광역·기초 비례대표 공개오디션 도입 배경을 설명했다.
그는 “시민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 기본적인 자격조건 정도만 당에서 검증할 계획이다. 당원과 시민이 배심원단으로 폭넓게 참여해 후보를 선출하는 과정을 거칠 것”이라며 “구체적인 선출 일정과 방법은 후보모집이 완료되면 공개 하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 시민들의 삶을 구체적으로 반영하고 대안을 찾아가는 과정인 '민주직구'에 대해선 “시민의 삶을 구체적으로 들여다보는 기회가 될 것”이라며 “공약을 만들 때 시민들의 의사가 충분히 반영될 수 있도록 하고 시민들의 모아진 의견은 반드시 공약으로 만들겠다"고 약속했다.
