국민의힘이 일부 지역에서 공천갈등으로 시끄러운 가운데 김필례 경기 고양시장 예비후보도 당 경선 참여를 요구하며 재심을 신청했다.
17일 김필례 예비후보(이하 후보)등에 따르면 국민의힘 김진태 전 국회의원이 강원도지사 공천에서 배제 되자 국회에서 단식농성을 하면서 이준석 대표에게 ‘원칙없고 불공정한 공관위의 컷오프를 꼭 시정해 달라’는 요청힌 가운데 일부 지역에서도 공천 갈등을 빚고 있다.

고양시에서도 김필례 후보가 자신의 공천배제는 억울하다면서 경선에 참여할 수 있도록 해 줄 것을 요구하고 나섰다.
지난13일 국민의힘 공천관리위원회(이하 공관위)는 고양시장 경선자로 김종혁·이동환·이균철 후보 등 3명으로 압축해 발표했다.
당초 11명이 공천신청을 했으나 김필례 후보를 포함한 8명을 배제하고 경선을 치르도록 한 것이다.
공관위는 "본선 경쟁력을 고려해 후보자들을 선정했다"며“이균철 후보자의 경우 국민의당 후보에 대한 배려"라며 합당정신도 강조했다.
그러나 김필례 후보와 지지자들은 윤석열 대통령 당선인의 ‘공정과 상식’, ‘공정한 경선이 가치’라던 당의 방침을 스스로 뒤엎는 행위라면서 크게 반발하고 있다.
공관위가 내세운 본선경쟁력 고려에 대해서도 정면 반박하고 있다.
최근 세 차례 이상 언론사가 공신력 있는 여론조사기관에 의뢰해 진행한 여론조사에서 김필례 후보가 1~2등을 차지하는 등 상위권인데도 배제했다는 지적이다.
또 이균철 후보의 국민의당 배려도 공관위가 짜 맞추기 식으로 상식적으로도 이해할 수 없는 실수를 저질렀다고 주장했다.
이균철 후보는 지난해10월 국민의당을 탈당하고 이미 국민의힘에 입당했는데 그 몫으로 배려했다는 것은 핑계일 뿐이라는 것이다.
김필례 후보는 “조사의뢰자와 조사기관이 각기 다른 곳에서 꾸준히 1·2위를 유지하고 있는 신청인보다 다른 후보의 본선 경쟁력이 높다는 근거는 도대체 어디에 있다는 것인지 이해가 되지 않는다”며“나는 국가유공자로 가산점 대상자으로 반영이 제대로 되었는지 명확한 근거로 말해 달라”고 말했다.
또 “ 국민의당 후보에 대한 배려로 이균철 후보를 포함했다는 것 또한 납득이 되지 않는다”며“이균철 후보의 6개월 전의 당적을 배려해 경선자로 포함한 논리라면, 국민의당에서 당시 안철수 당대표의 간곡한 부탁을 받고 험지인 줄 알면서도 지난 지방선거에서 고양시장으로 출마했던 내가 훨씬 더 배려를 받아야 하지 않겠냐”고 반문했다.
지지자들의 반발도 거세다. 정 모 씨는“대선에서 밤잠을 설쳐가며 당과 윤 당선인의 선거에 올인 하면서 헌신과 충성을 다했는데 전략공천은 아니더라도 경선조차 배제한다면 누가 당에 충성심을 갖겠느냐”고 분노했다.
