고양시는 덕양구 화전동 183-33번지 일원에 올해 8월 고양 드론앵커센터 를 준공할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
고양시 드론앵커센터 건립 사업은 2017년 덕양구 화전지역이 도시재생 뉴딜사업 대상지로 선정되며 추진됐다.
센터는 작년 4월 착공했다.
센터는 총 사업비 140억원을 투입해 지하1층 지상3층 연면적 4,524㎡ 규모로 건립되며 날씨의 영향에 관계없이 드론을 날릴 수 있는‘드론 실내비행장’이 1,800㎡ 규모(높이 18m)로 지어질 예정이다.

드론 제작업체와 소재부품장비 생산기업 등 드론 기업의 입주 공간도 준비된다. 시는 센터에 드론R&D센터, 공동작업실 등 활동공간을 조성해 기업간 협업체계를 구축하고 인근 한국항공대학교와 연구 협력 네트워크도 갖출 계획이다.
