안상수 국민의힘 인천시장 예비후보가 18일 ‘시니어 공약’을 발표하면서 “인천시 기초연금을 50만 원으로 대폭 상향하겠다”고 공약했다.

안 예비후보는 “보통 청·장년 정책을 주로 내세우는데, 노년 인구에 대한 정책은 크게 두드러지지 않는다”며 “실제 복지 혜택이 가장 필요한 인구가 노년 인구”라고 말했다.
이어 “신·원도심 균형발전을 내세운 것처럼 청·노년 균형복지 실현하겠다”며 “인천시는 노년이 걱정 없이 행복한 도시로 만들고, 제2의 자아실현을 할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 강조했다.
