[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도는 한국산업단지공단과 함께 도내 중소·중견기업을 대상으로 경남형 지속가능경영(ESG) 인식 확산을 위한 기술교류회를 21일 개최했다.
경남창원산학융합원 7층 대회의실에서 열린 기술교류회는 경남 산업단지 산학협의회(MC) 17개 기업 대표와 한국산업단지공단 경남지역본부 관계자 등 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 경남형 지속가능경영 컨설팅 지원사업 홍보, 관련 연구개발과제 발표, 참여기업별 연구개발(R&D) 과제 기술교류 등으로 진행됐다.
경남도는 지속가능경영의 중요성이 점차 강조되고 있는 대외환경변화에 선제적으로 대응하고 도내 기업체들의 대응력을 높이고자 전국 최초로 제조업에 특화된 표준 지속가능경영(ESG) 평가모델을 개발, 지난해부터 도내 중견·중소기업에 대한 컨설팅 사업을 실시하고 있다.
경남도 관계자는 지원사업을 홍보하며 ”지속가능경영(ESG)에 대한 구체적인 경영 방향을 설정하고 대응하고 있는 대기업에 비해 예산과 인력 부족 등으로 어려움을 겪는 중소·중견기업에 대한 컨설팅을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”라고 강조했다.
교류회에 참석한 한 기업 관계자는 “중소기업 입장에서는 막연한 지속가능경영의 개념과 대응 필요성을 확인한 시간이었다”며 “향후 도 지원사업 참여는 물론 기업의 자발적 노력도 병행하여 대내외적으로 급변하는 4차 산업혁명시대의 경제시장 흐름에 적극 대응해 나가겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
