고양시가 정부의 사회적 거리두기 해제에 따라 대화동 소재 고양피크닉시민공원 피크닉장을 전면 개방한다. 올해 4월까지는 피크닉테이블 57개소 중 28개소(50%)만 이용 가능했으나, 5월 2일부터 모든 피크닉테이블을 이용할 수 있다.

고양피크닉시민공원은 자연과 함께 피크닉을 즐길 수 있어 고양시민은 물론 타 지자체의 시민도 자주 찾는 수도권의 대표적인 명소다.
이용 예약은 고양시 홈페이지에서 매주 월요일 오전 9시부터 목요일 오후 6시까지 다음 주 사용분을 신청할 수 있다.

시는 지난 3월 피크닉장 내 방송설비를 정비해 시민 편의를 증대하고 다른 시설물도 점진적으로 개선하고 있다.
시 관계자는 “5월 가정의 달을 맞아 더 많은 시민이 피크닉장을 이용할 수 있게 됐다”며“고양피크닉시민공원이 코로나19로 답답함을 느낀 시민들의 휴식처가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다. 고양=박정호 기자
