세종시의회가 전국 광역 지방의회 입법 실적 분석 결과에서 연평균 6.5건에 달하는 조례를 발의해 전국 1위를 차지했다고 밝혔다.
경제정의실천시민연합(이하 경실련)이 빅데이터 분석 기업인 ‘Big Hill Analytics’와 함께 17개 광역 지방의회 의원들의 지난 4년간 입법 발의 현황을 분석한 결과 세종시의회 의원들의 연평균 조례 발의 건수는 6.5건으로 나타났다.
이는 전국 광역의원들의 전체 평균인 2.99건보다 2배 이상 많은 수치다. 의원 수 대비 발의건수 역시 22.68건으로 전체 평균보다 2배 많았다.
또한 세종시의회는 연평균 1건 미만 입법 실적을 가진 의원 명단에 단 한 명의 의원 이름도 올리지 않은 것으로 나타나 활발한 입법 활동을 펼친 것으로 평가받았다.
