파주시는 지난 4일 행정안전부로부터 2022년 상반기 특별교부세 14억을 확보했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 확보한 특별교부세는 ▲조리 봉일천 공영주차장 조성(5억원) ▲문산천변 물놀이장 조성(7억원) ▲말레이지아교 보수·보강(2억원) 사업에 편성될 예정이다.
조리읍 행정복지센터 인근 봉일천1리 지역은 상가와 주거지가 밀집된 지역으로 주차장 부족에 따른 불법주정차로 민원이 많았던 지역이다.
이에 시는 현재 신축중인 조리읍 행정복지센터 준공에 맞춰 공영주차장 조성을 추진하고 있으며, 이번에 특별교부세가 확보됨에 따라 차질 없이 상반기 내 공사를 마무리한다는 방침이다.
문산읍 문산천변은 하천 정비와 함께 노을길이 조성되어 많은 주민들이 찾고 있으나, 하천변 여가공간이 부족하여 개선 요구가 많은 지역이다.
이에 시는 둔치의 노을길과 연계한 물놀이장을 조성해 가족이 함께할 수 있는 친수공간을 조성할 계획이다. 현재 행정절차 이행중에 있으며, 풍수해 기간이 끝나는 올가을부터 조성공사를 시작할 계획이다.
말레이지아교는 한국전쟁 재건과정에서 말레이시아의 국제원조를 통해 1966년에 준공된 역사가 담긴 교량으로 최근 시행한 정밀안전 점검결과 결함이 발생하여, 최대한 서둘러 보수·보강을 추진하여 교량의 안전성을 확보할 예정이다.
