고양시가 노후된 보도육교를 대대적으로 개선한다.
시는 경관조명을 설치해 육교를 명소화하고 보행 안전을 개선할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
사업은 일산로 밤가시공원(정발산동), 중앙로 태영프라자(일산동), 행신로 토당초교(토당동), 통일로 내유초교(내유동) 앞에 노후 육교를 대상으로 우선적으로 실시된다.

시는 도시정체성을 반영한 디자인으로 상징성, 안전성, 심미성을 고려한 멀티폴, 고보조명, 와이트투광등 약 800여개의 조명을 설치하여 생동감 있는 경관을 연출하고, 초등학교 앞에 설치된 토당육교의 경우 어린이의 정서를 반영한 은하수 디자인을 적용할 계획이다.
