코로나19를 넘어 포스트 오미크론으로 들어서면서 파주시청 곳곳에서 작은 연주회가 열리고 있다.
계속되는 감염사태로 지친 직원들이 서로를 응원하고자 거리 공연에 나선 것이다.
지난달 27일 낮 12시 20분에는 파주시청 인근 금촌문화공원에서 멋진 색소폰과 트럼펫 연주 소리가 흘러나왔다.

점심 식사를 마친 직원들과 시민들은 음악 선율에 이끌려 가던 길을 멈추고 모였다.
영화 ‘꽃피는 봄이 오면’ OST로도 유명한 ‘옛사랑을 위한 트럼펫’을 시작으로, 모르는 사람이 없을 정도로 유명한 ‘베사메무초’, 색소폰 연주곡으로 손에 꼽히는 ‘매지아 (Majia)’ 등 매력적인 색소폰과 트럼펫 연주가 이어졌다.

공연의 주인공은 파주시청 직원들로, 공로연수 중이자 파주시 음악동아리 ‘DMZ밴드’ 회장인 허순무 국장(전 환경수도관리본부장), 한경준 지역발전과장, 권원태 산림농지과 주무관이다.
이들은 3년째 코로나19 업무도 병행하느라 지친 직원들에게 작은 위로라도 전하고자 자리를 마련했다.
아예 ‘수요 공원 음악회’라는 이름으로 매월 둘째주, 넷째주 수요일마다 거리 공연을 약속했다.
두번째 공연이 있던 5월 11일, 이날은 시청 인근 카페 사장인 김병정(안단테 153) 대표와 트럼펫 동호회인 ‘레이크트럼펫앙상블’ 박운호 단장도 합류했다.
김병정 대표는 첫 공연을 보고 함께 이 시간을 즐기고자 참여 의사를 전했고, 공연단은 흔쾌히 동의했다.
박운호 단장은 한경준 과장과 동호회에서 만난 인연으로 함께 하게 됐다.
이미 입소문을 타고 시청 직원은 물론 지역 주민들은 약속한 듯 공원 벤치에 둘러 앉았고, 활짝 핀 철쭉을 배경으로 연주하는 이들의 모습을 감상했다.

지난달 28일은 시청 앞 잔디에서 어쿠스틱 버스킹으로 봄철 나들이 기분을 선사하기도 했다.
점심시간을 이용해 납세지원과 최윤순 과장과 우효제·오지영 주무관이 숨겨둔 끼를 한껏 펼쳤다.

평소 운정호수공원 등에서 버스킹을 즐기는 최윤순 과장은 “코로나19로 인해 3여년만에 버스킹을 하게 됐다”며 “젊은 친구들과 함께 연습하면서 세대차이도 잊고 서로를 이해할 수 있어 소중한 시간이었다”고 말했다.
