파주시는 매월 ‘경기도 문화의 날’ 주간 동안 시 전역에서 ‘2022 파주예술축제’를 오는 10월까지 개최한다고 밝혔다.
올해 제24회를 맞이하는 파주예술축제는 파주시 대표 종합 예술행사로, 2020년부터 3년 연속 ‘경기도 문화의 날 문화예술 지원’ 공모사업에 선정됐다.

경기도와 파주시가 후원하고 (사)한국예총 파주지회가 주최·주관하는 이번 파주예술축제는 공연장 및 찾아가는 예술무대 형식으로 진행되며, 파주예총 9개 예술협회(문인·미술·무용·국악·사진작가·연극·연예예술인·음악·영화인협회) 600여 예술인과 관내 예술인이 함께 준비한 공연과 전시, 강좌 등 종합예술무대를 선보일 예정이다.
오는 29일 미술협회 회원전을 시작으로 ▲개막공연 ‘노을길 페스티벌’ ▲전통예술단 공연 ▲코로스오버&록밴드 공연 ▲연극 ‘넘버원 축제’ ▲사진 작품 전시회 등 다양한 공연과 전시를 통해 시민들에게 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
이귀순 문화예술과장은 “코로나19 일상회복에 따라 대면 공연을 진행하고, 아울러 파주시 유튜브 채널(채널명: 파주N)을 통한 온라인 생중계로 공연을 언제 어디서나 관람할 수 있다”며, “공연을 통해 시민들에게 즐거움이 가득하길 바란다”고 말했다.
