김현숙 여성가족부 장관이 21일 고양여성새로일하기센터를 방문해 경력단절여성의 직업교육과 취업지원 현장을 살펴보고 종사자, 새일센터를 통해 취.창업에 성공한 여성, 기업 관계자와 함께 간담회를 실시했다.
고양새일센터는 경력단절 여성에게 일자리 찾기를 지원하기 위해 지역산업별, 구직자 특성별 다양한 맞춤형 취업지원을 하고 있다.

고양마이스(MICE)새일센터를 함께 운영하고 있으며 온라인상담 서비스와 고부가가치 직업교육, 취창업 지원서비스 등 원스톱 취?창업 지원 체계를 갖추고 있다.
이날 간담회 현장에서는 새일센터의 특화된 서비스를 통해 취업과 창업, 그리고 채용에 성공한 재직여성, 창업여성, 기업 대표 등 새일센터 서비스 이용자들이 참석해 생생한 이야기를 나누었다.
25여년간의 경력단절을 겪은 정 모씨는 “새일센터의 집단상담교육과 이후 취창업컨설턴트 양성과정을 통해 오랜 단절 기간의 두려움을 극복하고 취업에 성공할 수 있었다. 새일센터의 적극적인 지원에 감사하다”고 전했다.
새일센터를 통해 창업에 성공한 박 모씨는 “10여 년간 경력단절을 겪던 중 고양새일센터 도시농업지도사 훈련과정을 수료 후 창업했다”라며 “창업 이후 난관을 겪을 때마다 센터에서 창업 컨설팅?네트워킹 등을 지원해준 덕분에 사업을 유지할 수 있었다”라고 밝혔다.
김현숙 장관은 “일상회복에 따라 지난 5월 여성 고용률이 역대 처음으로 60％대에 진입했지만, 여성 고용의 질 제고와 경력단절 예방은 여전히 시급한 정책적 과제”라고 말했다.
유혜림 고양새일센터장은 “지난 10년간의 새일센터 인프라를 기반으로 더 많은 여성이 일자리 참여 기회를 얻을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
한편 새일센터는 코로나19 상황에서도 맞춤형 교육과정으로 ▲글로벌 자유무역협정(FTA) 무역마케팅 전문가 양성 ▲빅데이터 마케팅 활용 등 6개 직업교육훈련 과정을 운영하고 있으며 교육생의 93%가 훈련 과정을 수료하고 수료자의 73.9%가 취업하는 성과를 냈다.
또한, 새일센터 특화 온라인 진단시스템을 운영하여 직무적응·소진 증후군(번아웃), 재직여성 대상 퇴직의사 진단 서비스를 통해 맞춤형 경력단절예방 서비스도 지원하고 있다. 고양=박정호기자
