[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원특례시는 29일 경남창원스마트그린산단 사업인 에너지 자급자족형 인프라 구축 사업과 관련해, 경남 산업단지 탄소중립대응 및 RE100 이행 관심기업 사업 설명회를 경남도, 경남창원스마트그린산단사업단, SG에너지컨소시엄과 함께 개최했다고 밝혔다.
RE100(Renewable Energy 100%)은 기업이 사용하는 전력 100%를 재생에너지로 충당하겠다는 글로벌 캠페인으로, 이번 사업설명회는 지역기업을 대상으로 탄소중립과 RE100 필요성을 공유하고자 마련됐다.
이날 설명회에서는 에너지 자급자족형 인프라 구축사업 소개, 글로벌 RE100 이니셔티브 동향과 기업의 대응에 대한 전문가 특강, RE100 인증지원 절차 및 에너지 컨설팅 지원 안내 등 기업들의 RE100 이해 및 이행에 필요한 전반적인 사항이 소개됐다.
류효종 창원시 스마트혁신산업국장은 “글로벌 산업시장은 이미 기후변화에 따른 리스크 관리를 위해 협력사에 재생에너지 사용을 요구하고 있고, 우리 기업들도 향후 탄소국경세와 저탄소 녹색경제로의 전환을 차근히 준비해야 된다”며, “이번 설명회가 지역기업의 에너지 전환과 RE100 이행 등 당면과제를 해결하는 데 많은 도움이 되길 바란다.”고 전했다.
한편 『에너지 자급자족형 인프라 구축사업』은 2020년 11월부터 2022년 12월까지 3년간 국비, 지방비, 민간 등 총 393억 원을 투입해, 동전 일반산업단지내에 신재생에너지 발전소를 구축하고, 해당전력을 창원국가산단 수요기업의 RE100 인증지원에 활용하는 사업으로 SK에코플랜트(주), SK D&D(주), ㈜그리드위즈, SK㈜ C&C, ㈜누리플렉스, 한국전기연구원, 한국산업기술시험원이 참여하고 있다.
