[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도는 도내 26개 해수욕장을 오는 7월 2일부터 순차적으로 개장해 8월 21일까지 운영한다고 30일 밝혔다.
7월 2일 창원 광암해수욕장과 거제 16개 해수욕장 개장을 시작으로 8일에는 사천 남일대해수욕장과 남해 상주 은모래 등 5개 해수욕장이, 9일에는 통영 수륙 등 3개 해수욕장이 차례로 개장한다.
특히 올해는 생활 속 거리두기가 해제된 만큼 해수욕장에서 추진하는 축제 등 행사도 정상적으로 추진되며 관광객에게 즐길거리를 제공할 계획이다.
창원 광암해수욕장에서는 전마선레이싱과 2022 창원코리아 SUP챔피언십(7.2.~3.), 거제 구조라해수욕장에서는 바다로세계로 축제(7.29.~31.), 사천 남일대해수욕장에서는 트로트가요제(8.5.~6.), 남해 상주해수욕장에서는 섬머 페스티벌(8.5.~7.)이 개최될 예정이다.
또한 남해 상주해수욕장은 8월 1일부터 15일까지 저녁 7시까지였던 기존 개장시간을 저녁 9시까지 2시간 연장하는 야간개장을 준비하는 등 관광객 유치에 힘쓰고 있다.
