파주시는 테마모금 ‘나눔으로 싹이트는, 드림씨앗’ 5기 모금액이 모아져 대상가구의 치료비를 7월부터 순차적으로 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.

이번 5기 대상으로 선정된 민수(가명/ 16세/ 남)는 7인가족 중 둘째로 문산종합사회복지관에서 의뢰한 대상이다. 크론병을 앓고 있으며, 자율식사가 불가하기 때문에 정해진 치료제만 복용이 가능하고 고가의 비급여 치료로 경제적 어려움이 큰 실정이다.
5기 모금은 3월 28일부터 6월 27일까지 3개월간 진행돼, 총 1,416만8,400원이 모금됐으며, 온라인 기부포털사이트(네이버 해피빈)와 공동모금회 전용계좌로의 지정기부, 기부릴레이를 비롯해 초록우산어린이재단과 협력한 LG디스플레이 기업 모금, 라디오(KBS1 라디오 ‘희망충전대한민국’) 모금까지 더해져 모금에 더욱 활기를 띄었다.
라디오 모금액은 8월 말 이후에 확정됨에 따라 이 금액까지 합산하면 목표액 1,500만원이 초과할 것으로 예상되며, 모금액은 대상자의 희귀질환 치료비로 사용된다.
