더불어민주당은 공석중인 대전시당위원장 직무대행에 장철민 (동구) 국회의원을 임명했다.

더불어민주당 비상대책위원회는 6일 비상대책위원회를 열고 박영순 의원 사퇴로 공식중인 대전시당 위원장 직무대행에 장철민의원을 임명했다.

장철민의원은 전당대회 개최 전에 열리는 대전시당대의원대회에서 신임 시당위원장이 선출될 까지 직무대행 역할을 수행하게 된다.

장철민 대전시당위원장 직무대행은 “무거운 책임감을 갖고 당의 쇄신과 변화에 대한 당원들의 바람에 부응할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다. 시당을 정비하고 당원들과 소통을 통해 다가오는 전당대회를 잘 이끌도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 더불어민주당은 오는 8월 28일 전당대회를 앞두고 지역위원장 공모를 실시했으며 △ 지역위원장 경선후보 단수 선정 △ 지역위원장 최종확정 △ 시·도당 대의원대회를 통해 시·도당위원장을 선출할 예정이다.
