파주시(시장 김경일)는 오는 18일부터 8월 12일까지 청년 장애인들의 자산형성을 위한 '장애인 누림통장' 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.
장애인 누림통장은 만 19세 중증장애인이 2년 동안 매월 10만원 이내로 저축을 하면 저축 액수만큼 예산을 지원하는 사업으로, 2년 만기 시 적립금과 지원금 및 이자를 합쳐 최대 500만원을 받아 학자금, 주거마련 비용, 창업, 직업훈련비 등 자립을 위한 자금으로 활용할 수 있다.

지원 대상은 파주시에 거주하는 만 19세(2003년생) 장애인복지법상 ‘정도가 심한 장애인’으로, 주소지 관할 주민센터를 방문해서 신청할 수 있다.
다만, 복지부의 희망키움·내일키움·청년희망키움통장·청년저축계좌,희망저축계좌, 경기도 일하는청년통장·청년연금, 고용노동부 청년내일채움공제, 통일부 미래행복통장 등 유사 자산형성지원사업 가입자(지원종료자 포함)는 대상에서 제외된다.
