파주시(시장 김경일)는 19일 파주시 운정 이마트 주변 중심상가에 설치된 간판을 대상으로 드론을 활용한 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 안전점검에는 김경일 파주시장과 시의원이 참석해 신기술을 활용한 옥외광고 분야의 적극행정 우수사례에 큰 관심을 표했으며, 벤치마킹을 위해 경기도와 서울시 마포구의 옥외광고물 담당자도 참관했다.

점검은 야당지구대, 운정119안전센터장, 군부대 등 민·관·군이 함께 실시했으며, 점검장소 한쪽에 불법 입간판으로 가득 찬 거리를 재현한 ‘불법광고물 체험존’을 마련해 시민들이 불법광고물 근절의 필요성을 느끼고 변화를 유도하는 캠페인도 준비했다.
